I've seen the Sister Moses production at least five times in Arizona, both as a teacher and community member. It is a beautiful depiction of the life of Harriett Tubman, with powerful and moving dance, vocal and instrumental talent. Each time I've seen the program, I've been moved to tears. It's a great experience for children and will provide many teachable moments. Collapse

I saw a performance of Sister Moses in 2000 in Austin. It was powerful and moving and touched my soul. A must see for children and adults.

I started bringing Sister Moses to the 1500 seat Chandler Center for the Arts in 1992. We sell out two shows for students every year. Students attend from my school district, Chandler, as well as from many other schools in a 20 mile radius. The program is staged with high production values and is perfect for grades 3 through high school(although we generally target 5th grade and the social studies students 8-12th grade). The dancing, singing, and narration tell a powerful story and captivates the audience. The evening program each year is a wonderful event for the community and is well attended. I can't say enough about the quality of the people in the Desert Dance Theatre organization. Artistic directors Renee Davis and Lisa Chow will work dilgently to make the program successful at your venue. I know you will be quite pleased with the content and quality of the program and your working relationship with Desert Dance Theatre. Collapse

FYI, This show is at 7:30 p.m. and not at 7:00 as the listing states. When I purchased tickets I was told 7:30 and I confirmed this through Damian Gillen.
